 Founded in the 1890's as a mining
community, the town of Golden is located 3 miles east of Wolf Creek, in northern Josephine County. Restorations will include reconstruction of some of the buildings now gone. The church, mining tailings and the general store remain. Best time to visit is from April through October. It is managed by the Oregon Parks Service.
