Medford's
Wild and Scenic Route
Crater
Rock Museum
The museum was founded in 1954 by Frieda and Delmar Smith. The Smith's
collection and the collections and donations of members and others
has created one of the finest displays of rocks, minerals, and gems
on the west coast.
The
Rogue Creamery
As we near our 70th year of making exemplary artisan blue and cheddar
cheeses I reflect on my family's tradition and objective of making
the best artisan cheese from the purest and finest whole milk in
the Rogue Valley. The methods, ingredients and tools in our micro-creamery
have changed little since our start in 1935. Our blue cheeses continue
to rank high amongst European peers and placed fourth in international
competitions this year.
Seven
Oaks Farm
Don, Doreen Jerry and Lori from Seven Oaks Farm & Livestock
invite you to try the fresh produce grown on this fourth generation
family farm. Customers like the sweet corn so much they have shipped
it from Alaska to the Carolinas! The season starts with corn and
veggies and ends with pumpkins and fall decorations.
Pleasant
View Farm Llama Tours
Pleasant View Farm is located in Oregon's beautiful Rogue Valley.
We are dedicated to raising a herd of gentle, well-bred Bolivian
llamas and Suri alpacas. All of our llamas and suris are registered
with the ILR and the ARI. They are handled from the day they are
born and accept training easily. Whether in the show ring, at llama
sales or here at the ranch, we are extremely proud of our accomplishments.
Table
Rocks
Lower Table Rock and its twin, Upper Table Rock, rise dramatically
800 feet above the Rogue River Valley, flat-topped remnants of lava
flows that filled the canyons of an ancient, meandering Rogue River
over seven million years ago. Atop the Table Rocks is a mosaic of
grassy mounds, stony flats and vernal, or seasonal, ponds.
Dogs
for the Deaf
The Dogs for the Deaf foundation rescues dogs from shelters and
trains them to act as the eyes and the ears of people who have hearing
complications. At the Dogs for the Deaf Camp, dogs learn to respond
to household sounds such as smoke alarms, doorbells, etc. in order
to assist the daily living of those who are hearing impared.
Valley
of the Rogue State Park
A pleasant green oasis awaits you in southern Oregon's Rogue Valley.
Valley of the Rogue Park has both a day-use picnic area and an overnight
campground along three miles of shoreline on the Rogue River. A
meeting hall is available for groups. An easy, self-guided interpretive
walking trail provides a relaxing 1.25 mile stroll along the river's
edge
Del
Rio Vineyards
Del Rio Vineyards looks over southern Oregon's Rogue River between
the Cascade and Siskiyou mountain ranges. Our soil, rolling hills,
alluvial fans, and southern exposure comprise a foundation for great
wine making. We build on this foundation through a grower's sensitivity
to the land and a winemaker's intuition.
