There
are many shops up and down the South Coast that sell, and some even
rent, kites for visitors. Several communities , such as Bandon shown
here, hold kite festivals on the beach from early Spring through
the Fall months.
South
Coast beaches are good for kite-flying on windy summer days. Specialty
shops can be found in Florence, Winchester Bay, Bandon and Brookings-Harbor
for those who want to purchase or learn to fly fancy kites. Some
shops also have information about summer kite competitions.
